Florida is about to get some worrisome neighbors.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Red China, which already has spies posted in communist Cuba, plans to build a military presence there – 90 miles from Florida.

The military training facility in Cuba would be the latest effort by China to spread its military presence around the world. It has the largest army in the world and is developing powerful new weapons, such as hypersonic missiles that could overwhelm America’s defenses.

Other alarming developments include:

· Sending spy balloons across the United States to collect information about our military installations.

· Buying thousands of acres of American land, some near military installations.

· Opening “police stations” in U.S. cities, ostensibly to police Chinese citizens in this country.

· Increasingly threatening to invade Taiwan.

· Buying huge amounts of land and businesses in Africa.

The growing threat from China has been obvious for years but largely ignored by the Fake News Industry and American socialists.

Instead, the media plays down the threat. ABC News ran a story saying China’s pursuit of hypersonic missiles was no big deal because they already have 100 ICMMs aimed at the United States.

How very reassuring.

The media also shrugs off the purchase of land, saying 10 other nations (none of them communist) own more U.S. land.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has the U.S. military focused on pronoun usage, diversity, inclusion and equity. It has made admirals out of guys who dress up in women’s clothing and carefully watches for any signs of improper regard for “transgenders.”

It insists that diplomacy will solve any problems with China — and, yet, Joe Biden insults the head of China by calling him a “dictator.” While accurate, that does not improve relations with the communists.

Meanwhile, Congress is investigating reports that the Biden family has received millions of dollars from China. Republicans want to know why, but Democrats don’t care.

We live in strange and dangerous times.
